We offer a variety of youth programming throughout the year for locals and visitors alike. 

Summer Camps

We offer a variety of summer camps for children 4-14 years of age. Registration for summer camps opens the first Monday of April each year at 8:00 a.m. Camps fill up quickly and space is limited. Toddler Time

Toddler Time will be offered at the Mammoth Lakes CommunityCenter (1000 Forest Trail) every Tuesday from 9:30-11:00am  (4 week  sessions).The program is open to all parents who have children under kindergarten age,with typically 6-8 children per class (max. enrollment 12). Sessions commenceon September 12, 2017  and conclude on June 5, 2018 (see sessiondates). Hot Shots Basketball

Hot Shots is a fun and exciting co-ed instructional basketball program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders taught by Coach John, a Recreation Coordinator, and parent volunteers. The first month of the program is clinic style where the children learn the skills of the game. The last two months of the program is intramural league play where the children are divided up into teams where they will play against each other. Register here.

Fall Ice Skating Lessons

The ‘Jump-Start Skating’ Program is intended as an introductory course for beginner skaters.* The classes are scheduled for a 4-week period from November 27, 2017 – December 18, 2017 and are held every Monday (weather permitting) from 3:15-5:15pm . Program  fee is $30 and includes skate & helmet rentals. Register here  or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department office at (760) 965-3699.

Winter Ice Skating Lessons

The following classes are scheduled for a period of 6 weeks from January 8, 2018 – February 12, 2018 and are held every Monday (weather permitting) from 3:15-5:15pm . All levels welcome. The program fee is $50 and includes skate & helmet rentals. Register here or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department office at (760) 965-3699.

Youth Hockey Program

Mammoth Lakes Youth Hockey is open to skaters from 5-18 years old. The program fee for the 2017/18 season is only $99 and includes two sessions per week, a season pass, jersey/socks and AAU membership (required). Youth hockey sessions are scheduled every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-8:30pm  (non-holiday), beginning November 27, 2017. Email mammothyouthhockey@gmail.com for information or to register.


Instructional Basketball

This is an introductory level program for kids who are justbecoming interested in the sport of basketball. This FREE program is designedfor children ages 5-7. For the little participants, we even bring custom sizedhoops to play on. Parental involvement for kids under 5 is required.

Little Sluggers T-Ball

Introduce your child to the wonderful sport of baseball with this fun, safe and educational league. Parent involvement is required and children ages 1.5-5 are welcome to join. This program typically runs from May-June.


Education 2 Go!

Ed 2 Go instructor-facilitated online courses are informative, fun, convenient and highly interactive. Instructors are famous for their ability to create warm and supportive communities of learners. All courses run for six weeks and are project-oriented. Included in the course are lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas, supplementary links and more.
