Inspection Services and Code Compliance
The Inspection Services and Code Compliance Workgroup is an interdepartmental cooperative effort between the Community Development Department and the Public Works Department to provide inspection and code enforcement services to the community.

The workgroup is comprised of a five-member team, including the town’s building official, building inspector, public works inspector, building plans examiner, and principal planner. The Inspection Services and Code Compliance Workgroup strives to protect the health and safety of residents and visitors through enforcement of the town municipal code.
 
Our mission is to promote and enhance the quality of the community through:

• Addressing citizen complaints and questions
• Identifying possible violations proactively
• Assisting other internal departments
• Mediating and conflict resolution
• Resolving code violations

Code Compliance
The identification and rapid response to code violations is a cooperative effort within the community.  Residents and visitors play an important role in helping to identify a wide range of possible code violations such as illegal dumping or spillage of garbage and debris.
