Thank you for your interest in the Town of Mammoth Lakes Draft Mobility Element! The draft document is now ready for review and comment. The Draft Element will be presented to Town Commissions on the following dates:
- Planning Commission, Wednesday, November 9th, 2:00 pm, Suite Z;
- Mobility Commission - Tuesday, November 15th, 4:00 pm, Suite Z;
- Airport Commission - Tuesday, November 22nd, 3:00 pm, Suite Z;
- Planning Commission – Wednesday, December 14th, 2:00 pm, Suite Z. (staff report and public comments received)
Public comments on the draft Element are due no later than December 16, 2011 at 5:00 pm. Please provide comments to Jessica Morriss, Associate Transportation Planner, at or (760) 934-8989 ext. 225.
Following the close of the public comment period, staff will prepare the final draft of the Mobility Element for Town Council consideration.
The Mobility Element, once adopted, will serve as the community’s comprehensive transportation plan, updating the existing Circulation Element of the Town’s General Plan. The Mobility Element establishes the goals, policies, actions, and infrastructure necessary to achieve a progressive and complete multimodal transportation system that serves the needs of all users by implementing “feet-first,” sustainability, and smart-growth oriented principles.
