Recreation is an essential component of a healthy and vibrant community and the Parks & Recreation Department has a program for you this fall to keep you fit and healthy!  

Join us for women’s soccer, tennis, street hockey, basketball, and a ‘spooktacular’ skate party at the RecZone this fall! 

Soccer - Britt is hosting women’s drop-in soccer every Sunday morning from 10am-12pm at Shady Rest Park (U12 field). Cost is only $4/session. 

Tennis - Improve your strokes with Tennis Pro Kyle Osland every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at the Community Tennis Courts on Forest Trail. Join us this fall for doubles every Sunday morning until it snows. Players meet at the community courts on Forest Trail, from 9:30am till noon. Players of all ability are welcome! Refreshments provided by Mammoth Tennis Club.

Street Hockey - Join us at the Mammoth RecZone every Thursday for Youth Hockey and Friends Night: Drop-ins and new players welcome! Games are scheduled from 5:30-8:00pm. Cost is only $3.00/skater. 

Looking Ahead…The Halloween Skate Party at the Mammoth RecZone is October 30, Hot Shots Basketball begins November 3, and the official opening day of the Mammoth Ice Rink is Friday, November 27 (weather permitting).

Parks and Facilities
The Town operates, maintains and rents several parks and facilities, including the new Whitmore Track and Sports Field.  The facility is now available for reservations.  Call (760) 934-8989 ext. 222 or reserve a facility online.

Special Event Permit

Explore the NEW Mammoth Lakes Trail System Website
The Mammoth Lakes Trail System offers boundless recreation opportunities on more than 300 miles of trails. From granite crags to trout-stocked lakes, pine forests to alpine meadows, there’s something for all seasons, interests and abilities, motorized and non-motorized alike. Managed jointly by the Town of Mammoth Lakes and the Inyo National Forest, the system includes connections to three wilderness areas, Devils Postpile National Monument, the Pacific Crest Trail and more. Many of these attractions are accessible right from the center of town! Explore and discover the adventures of a lifetime.
