How It Works
The Town of Mammoth Lakes and Xpress Bill Pay, the premier provider for online bill payment systems, have partnered to provide an online payment system that is user-friendly and gives you an easy way to file your Returns, pay your TOT/TBID online, and view historical Returns and payments.
If you have an Internet connection and an e-mail address, you can pay your bill online. It's fast, it's easy, and you no longer have to write a check each month or find a stamp when it's time to send in your payment.
When you sign up for an online payment account you get a unique password that you use to access your personal account at Xpress Bill Pay. You can receive an email and text message reminder each month to let you know when your Return is available online. Sign up on the Town's Notify Me by clicking here and subscribing to the Monthly TOT/TBID Return Update.
When you are ready to submit your Return and payment, just log in through your Web browser and open your pending Return. Select a payment type - credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer, and you're done!
It's that easy, and it only takes you a few minutes each month.

How to Sign Up
To create a new account on Xpress Bill Pay, please have the following information ready:
- Your Business Tax Certificate number (aka your account number)
- Your PIN number
- An active email address
If you are a new user and have never had an online portal account, please reference in the introductory letter than was send with your business tax and TOT certificate or contact your Revenue Specialist for your pin number.
1. Go to Xpress Bill Pay and click on 'Sign Up' at the top of the page.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen. You will need a valid e-mail address and password to create an account.
3. On the "Add e-Bills" page is where you will be linking your Business Tax Certificate to your online account. You will need the PIN number associated with your Business Tax Certificate to link your account. If you do not have your PIN number, please contact your Revenue Specialist.
Once you've created an account, you'll be able to go online at any time to view and pay your bills.

Q: Does it cost anything to sign up for an online account?
A: No, it's free to sign up for an online account.
Q: What information do I need in order to sign up for an online account?
A. You will need to know your Business Tax Certificate number, your PIN number, your billing organization (Mammoth Lakes) and an active email address. The email address that you use to sign up for an account will also be your login username going forward.

A: You will have the ability to file and pay your Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) assessment, and your annual Business Tax.
Q: What payment choices do I have?
A: You can pay with a credit or debit card, or you can transfer funds directly from your checking account. There is no fee to pay directly out of your checking account as an electronic transfer or e-check. There will be a small convenience fee to pay with a credit or debit card.
Q: What will my Return look like online?
A: We try to match the look of your paper Return as much as possible, so you'll find it easy to read your Return onscreen.
Q: How do I know the payment went through?
A: After you complete the transaction, you will receive an e-mail receipt to confirm that your payment went through.
Q: When is the latest that an online payment can be made for it to be posted on the same business day?
A: Payments made online by 11:59 PM PDT will be posted on that business day.
Q: Is my information safe?
A: Absolutely. All the transactions are handled on secure servers. As long as you don't give out your password, only you will be able to access your account. Plus, your personal information or e-mail address will not be sold or rented to third parties for marketing purposes without your permission.

A: Pin numbers are mailed in a introductory letter along with the business tax and TOT certificates when first issued. If you need your pin please contact your Revenue Specialist.
