Halloween Events

Due to the current Public Health Office Order (July 31) prohibiting gatherings of persons from different household units throughout Mono County, the annual Halloween Party and Haunted Roller Rink at the Mammoth RecZone has been cancelled.  Halloween is traditionally a fun time for families to trick-or- treat in their neighborhoods, but this year is notably different due the COVID-19 pandemic. Some traditional holiday activities promote congregating and mixing of households, which increase the risk of transmitting COVID-19. For this reason, CDPH recommends that you choose a safer, alternative way to celebrate Halloween. Read more here.

One alternative is to participate in our virtual Halloween Costume Contest! Join the Parks and Recreation Department for their virtual costume contest. Winners in the following categories will win a $20 gift card: Most Creative, Scariest, Cutest, Recreation Themed, People's Choice and Luckiest (randomly drawn from all submissions.) Submit pictures of your costumes online between Friday, October 30 and Sunday, November 1 using the hashtag #MammothHalloween to be entered. Vote for your favorite costume on our Facebook event page here on Monday, November 2. Winners will be announced Thursday, November 5. Get creative and show us your best costumes!

Bishop is hosting a drive-thru trick or treat event followed by a free drive-in movie. Check out more details here.
