Chief's Advisory Committee
A new Chief’s Advisory Committee (C.A.C.) is being created to act as a resource for the Chief in the formation of strategies, development of community policing concepts, and increased public awareness. The committee is intended to provide a forum for discussions concerning community issues and the goal is to have a broad spectrum of viewpoints represented.

Crime - Calls for Service and Arrests
Under State and Federal Freedom of Information Laws, law enforcement agencies are required to keep a record of daily activities that can be inspected by the public. Local newspapers typically review these records, referred to as Police Blotters.

Mammoth Lakes CA PD utilizes retroactive search to solve crimes after they've occurred. Additionally, Mammoth Lakes CA PD utilizes real time alerting of hotlist vehicles to capture wanted criminals.
